Irene is such a professional. Really clear about our options and gave really smart and well thought through advice. This is then backed up by the most beautiful furniture. She has designed and built a sublime piece for our house. Beyond my expectations and just stunning. Dianne and I needed a stylish dining table that could double as an office desk when not in use. Space was at a premium, so it needed to be able to fold away but accommodate up to 8 people when in use. We had looked at what was available from various retailers and they left a lot to be desired. Irene worked with us to design a table that met our requirements. She mocked up paper cut-outs of the table and made an engineering prototype which allowed us to experiment with the novel folding mechanism that she had designed. Finally after only a few weeks we have a superb table which makes a solid investment. We shall treasure it for years to come!

I commissioned a cupboard for my hallway. The brief I gave was for something practical that could be used to store shoes (including the huge ones worn by my son) but versatile enough that it could be used for more general purposes once the children leave home and we no longer have a hallway full of shoes. The other requirements I gave were for something a little quirky, potentially a little art-deco, that fitted into a particular spot. The result is amazing, far better than I ever dreamed of. The quality is fantastic and everyone that sees it admires it. Irene was incredibly accommodating of my vague brief and far exceeded any expectation. I would wholeheartedly recommend Irene Banham Furniture to anyone.
