From the moment we called to book an appointment with Shaun at R Davies & Son, we knew we were in good hands. Nothing was too much trouble along the way, this profession must be a tough one- but the level of detail and attention to detail along the way was outstanding, we had our 1st meeting with Holly and everything was planned in fine detail- even a special requests for a bespoke painted casket wasnt an issue. On the day of the Funeral we had a special request for Mums grandson to walk in front of the hearse- Shaun was unbelievable with this and just look control and made it happen, it was something very special. Highly recommend this Funeral home, our first ever experience visiting and dealing with a funeral home and one that most people feel daunted by which is very understandable in every form- but having dealt with them, we can say Shaun and his team are-Kind, caring, reassuring and most of all very nice people- we couldnt have asked for anymore and you did our Mum proud and we both felt very happy we chose you to look after our Mum.

My pap sadly passed away on Christmas Day, during this time it was just myself (granddaughter) and my nan to sort all the arrangements out for the funeral. The level of care we received by both Shaun and Holly during this time has been immense. I cant put into words how their support during this time helped my Nan and myself. If I could give this service more stars I would! I dont know how to put into words how incredible Shaun has been during this time, as-well as afterwards. What shaun has done for my Nan will never be forgotten; he made her feel in control, involved and cared about and gave her the time to talk his ear off about the 67 years they spent together. When Shaun and the other guys turnt up at the house for the funeral, they looked so smart, wearing their red ties to represent Bristol city for my pap, every aspect of the day was enhanced and thought about. Once again, thank you so so much for everything you have done, I will be forever grateful. And however much meeting is on sad terms, I am positive we will use this service again, unquestioned!

Cannot speak highly enough of the service we received from R Davies & Son at Hambrook. We lost our dad Bob, in October 2022, we had already lost our mum Olive, in March 2020 when Covid restrictions came in & we could not give her the send-off she deserved. We wanted dad to have a great send-off to make up for this. Shaun was brilliant, very sympathetic & talked us through the whole thing. He was there for us through the whole process & very supportive on the day. Just wanted to say how much we appreciated it.
