We found the perfect Retirement Apartment and wanted to purchase. Our house was not yet on the market and the apartment was in danger of being sold if we had to wait for our house sale. We decided a Bridging Loan was our only option. It was not something that we were comfortable with but we took the plunge and made our first call which happened to be Clifton Private Finance and our call was answered by Scott Duttfield. We explained that we were a little nervous but instantly felt comfortable in talking with Scott. He was very clear in his speech and easy to understand. We told him how much we appreciated this. After Scott had explained all to us and was patient in ensuring that we understood all, we decided to go ahead with the loan. He was there at every step and always at the end of the phone if we needed him. We felt he had our interests at heart. It was a pleasure dealing with Scott. It was something that we felt would be quite daunting at the start but actually having Scott in charge, it went smoothly and the fear was taken away. We got the Mortgage offer and on the strength of this, we were able to reserve our apartment. We accepted the offer and proceedings were started to purchase our apartment, but our house which was now on the market sold to a cash buyer so we no longer needed the loan. Scott was very pleased for us and we thank him for all his hard work. Without the Mortgage offer we would not have been able to secure our apartment. We were very lucky indeed that the first call we made was answered by Scott Duttfield at Clifton Private Finance. We would not hesitate in recommending him should you need a Bridging Loan.
