So, i understand its difficult at this time and I myself was a gp receptionist (without the attitude) during covid so I know the score. I have had a pinched nerve in my neck for some time and allowed it time to heal itself and not bothered any health professionals, just self medication and rest but to no avail. My shoulder had become worse to the point I am in agony and am now getting numbness down my left arm..which is a sign its getting more serious amd can cause permanent nerve damage, so I called the doctor....at least 8 times ..eventually they did offer an appointment for 15.50 which I wasn't able to get to as I don't drive, I needed a late appointment so I could get a lift down. I called dback a few hours later on the off chance they could help...but nothing... and also I had one receptionist giving completely false protocol which I knew was odd because it made no sense. I called 111 AGAIN... and was advised they need to see me because its a serious matter if I'm now experiencing numbness. I called back explained everyth8ng to which I was told "call back at 8am" ..which I've been doing for 2 days now! I could hear the receptionists un the background as I'd called a few times that day already and I could hear then saying no don't listen to her because she was offered an appointment. I understand its difficult times..but no excuse for non empathetic people who clearly just dont care at all. The attitude was horrendous from grown women and not even trying g to help or speak to a go to get some actual medical adv8ce on wether they should be turning me away...they shouldn't be and I will be making a serious complaint as I know I've damaged my neck quite badly.

I feel like GP surgery staff never get enough recognition. Ive been registered since birth and have my two children registered here too. Reception staff always friendly and accommodating. Have just come from an appointment for my son with Dr Ingram and could not fault him at all, by far the most caring and helpful doctor at the surgery along with Dr Cheang. I always try and request one of these two GPs for my children - theyre brilliant. Its greatly appreciated when a clinician takes your concerns regarding your children seriously.
