Had a check up with Dr banks & Paige who were great given my anxiety around dentists, the reception team were amazing & talked me though the whole process from signing up to booking in my next appointment! The most comfortable experience Ive had at a dental practice!

I recently took a trip to east street for a check up through the MyOption scheme, the most affordable private check up/treatment I've come across so far after searching for NHS (unsuccessfully). The sign up was simple and quick. All the staff were warming and welcoming upon arrival & made me feel really at ease! Won't hesitate to recommend to anyone!!

Dont bother. I had an emergency appointment after I came back from travelling with tooth ache in my molar. 2 different dentists on my travels both told me I need root canal but when I came back home, Dr Emmanuel said he couldnt see anything wrong on the scan and would rather not do root canal. Bare in mind it was causing me excruciating pain - he said because I didnt have abscess it wasnt bad enough!!! I was a private patient so I paid 85 to be told there was nothing really wrong and that I should wait until the pain gets worse. Im so glad I have decided to go to a different clinic for another opinion, where they have discovered there is a crack in my tooth and need urgent root canal with half my tooth nerve already dead. Honestly dont bother with this place, not thorough enough for the money you pay.

I have switched an infinite number of dentists at the other 'My Dentist' surgery in Old Market, where I experienced consistent issues with customer service and/or poor quality of dental work. The reception staff here are very friendly and have been so accommodating with providing me an appointment time that works around my busy work schedule. I honestly cannot recommend Dr. Dickon Banks enough! He is so friendly and gentle in his approach. He instantly put me at ease and I've had no issues (touch wood!!) with my treatment so far.

Both the female dentists I saw were lovely. I saw a male dentist who I found dismissive and arrogant. This dentist was the only place I could find that would take a new patient, so I didn't have any options. They're not nhs, obviously but bristol seems to have a massive lack of options. They won't even let you use the toilets (which were previously open to patients)! And I had an issue with the male dentist (filling fell out THREE times!) So I asked to change dentists and it was a complete nightmare! Even though I paid the surgery for my treatment, they tried to argue that I had paid the dentist directly and so if I changed dentist (because I'd lost confidence in him) I'd lose my payment! Which seems nonsense because I hadn't at any point paid the dentist directly, so they were forcing their admin systems on me. Staff are generally nice. I'm just quite underwhelmed though and staff turnover seems high - two dentists I've seen have both left.
