Nearly 3 years from buying our property, there are still major snagging issues. Some of these snags, such as windows that dont shut, cost me money due to lost heating, and damage due to damp and build up of mould that requires daily maintenance. This as stated has been ongoing for nearly 3 years. Snags that have been rectified have been done poorly. Furthermore, multiple e-mails go unanswered, genuinely one of the worst experiences Ive ever had. I will never buy a new build because of this company, its been that bad. The worst company on the market surely? It cant get much worse than this.

The Bristol team have been friendly, enthusiastic and organised from beginning to end. The new properties I have viewed at The Old Printworks are beautifully finished to a high spec using local suppliers. I am so pleased they have chosen to showcase a variety of local makers in their 'welcome' gift packs.

I have been working with Acorn Property Group as an agent for over 5 years now. They build to an excellent quality and are always designing their product not just in a sustainable fashion but with the thought process of what would work best for residents living there. They build relationships with their purchasers during the sale process and are committed to producing communities where it isn't just a house but a home and people will enjoy living. Their standard of finish is superb and with continuous buyer support and communication with themselves as the developer and involvement with their projects at an early stage, any queries or questions are easily responded to. I would highly recommend an Acorn property.

If you're thinking of buying on one of their developments think twice. The build is classic new build i.e. lowest possible building regs. That's fine as long as you go in with your eyes open. The real issues come afterwards, after they have your signature on their agreement! Significant pressure applied to get you to close earlier than your solicitor is ready for, borderline bullying e.g. we'll cancel your sale. Then when you're in expect reneging on any promises to fix fixtures and fittings which aren't working, sub-standard fittings and tradesmen that don't know how to fix things so that they stay fixed. They also don't reply to emails and there is no escalation, it will be ignored. So if you can cope with the ongoing hassle, go ahead, but we never would again
