Interesting Square at the top of Park Street. There is seating around the edge of the green area and there are Nature trees in the Square. The statue in the gardens is a replica of the Bristol High Crosd which was erected in the city in 1373 honouring various British monarchs, and moved to College Green in 1733. The statue was given in 1768 to Stourhead gardens and can be seen there today. The current statue is a replica which was originally sited onCollege Green was made by John Nortonin 1851 and removed in the late 1940s. The Bristol Civic Society purchased the remains in 1950 and re-erected the truncated remains seen today in Berkeley Square.

A nice little green space in the city, not too busy today because it was freezing cold

One of Bristols most mellow Georgian squares, with central park full of trees, sqirells and in summer office people and students lunching and lounging. Lovelly.
