Ordered wine. It was not delivered, was given new delivery dates sporadically for 6 months. It never arrived and company stopped keeping in touch. A refund eventually issued but not to be relied upon based on my experience. Update: The company have since offered me a discount on future purchases as an apology and I have no reason to believe this isnt an unfortunate one off.

I was looking online for a supplier of Falafel mix & came across Good Taste Foods. They sell ready to eat falafel which I thought was a better alternative. I then decided to browse their website and saw all of the delicious foods on offer - especially their pies - and was immediately hooked and reeled in... so I selected my items and 'built' my order. 2 bags of Classic Falafel 2 Traditional West Country Pasties 2 Beef & Stilton Pies 2 Steak & Ale Pies 4 portions of Chocolate Chip Cheesecake I received a confirmation email for my order after a payment was made and a follow-up email for a delivery date. My order arrived on time, well packed in a large polystyrene box on dry ice. First out of the box were the two bags of falafel which looked great followed by the pasties. Next out were the beef and stilton pies. Oh no, wait. These have been replaced with chuck steak and mushroom pies. I didn't order those... Next out were the steak and ale pies. Oh. But wait... They, too, have been replaced... with minced beef and onion pies. You know, those rare, hard to find pies that are available in every supermarket and petrol garage. I didn't order those either. These were followed by something else I didn't order. Two turkey and ham pies. Probably to compensate for the replacements and perhaps the difference in prices I had paid. Unfortunately I don't eat products that contain pork, so they went in the bin. The last out of the box was a bag of... 'Brown'. This turned out to be the chocolate chip cheesecake. But this was the "Eton mess" of cheesecakes without the Eton. Frozen, but broken and thrown into a large freezer bag. There is no way this could have been served on a plate at a dinner party, spooned into tall sundae glasses, layered with sour cherries soaked in Kirsch, topped with Creme Chantilly... and the Flake, which was also present in the bag, crumbled over the top. A Black Forest cheesecake kind of thing. Yummy! And not a chocolate chip in sight. NONE of these items in any way resembled the beautifully photographed pies (when cooked) and the 'Brown' (or chocolate chip cheesecake, as they liked to refer to it), that you find on their website. But surely, I thought 'There's something missing..' An email advising me of the substitutions or the offer of a refund, perhaps? But no, that never appeared in my Inbox. This just seems a way for this company to empty their freezer of items they are unable to sell, knowing full well that the customer would accept them rather than have to go through the laborious returns process. I couldn't see myself putting the unwanted items in a jiffy bag and returning them 2nd class. Would I order from Good Taste Foods again. No. Would I recommend them to friends & family. Definitely not.
