Ive waited a while to write this review, to give my car the chance to throw out any problems. I can say with confidence I have had NONE! Cheap car thats quality, and theyve linked me to a really good garage for MOT. Alan was amazing! In August/September time, I came into the shop after looking at some cars online with my mum. I am autistic, so I went zipping around looking at cars and inspecting the details and past MOT history. Alan came out to say hello, ask if we were looking for anything which my mum answered. The second she said the car was for me and that I was buying, he switched to me, but still allowed my mum to help answer for me. I also wasnt made to feel ripped off just because Im a woman, which many sellers unfortunately do. you can come in here, as a vulnerable woman and be treated like a human :) Still love my car!

My partner brought a car here in November 2022 from James the owner who should be called Del trotter, and his side kick Alan, who's been in the trade for many years.... don't be fooled by his old face and friendly ways, neither are to be trusted. When first looking at the car I asked if the cam belt had been changed with the cars yearly servicing, I was told yes by James, on further examination i went through the service history receipts myself, I saw that it was only changed along with the water pump and thermostat due to overheating issues. I was assured the car was ok and all checks were done (as A B autos are an #RAC registered trader) so I took the car for a test drive it seemed OK. Took it home and then the trouble started first evening. All weird lighting up of dials and electrical faults which stopped after a minute or two . The following day the water censor light came on. My partner called them, and Alan was like bring the car back in a few days and AB autos will fix the censor issue, but my partner would have to go back again to get the electrical issue sorted. This would have meant over an hour and a half drive each visit to their mechanic of driving, along with arranging for someone to collect my partner as well to bring her home and return her to collect the vehicle when repaired which was ridiculous, as well as being without a car for more days, as it couldn't be used due to not knowing what the issues were and if it was safe to drive. After some shouting Alan agreed to refund the car and tax money (James the owner), used my partners money to put 6 months tax on the car rather then giving her a discount ,and she taxing it herself which was wrong. I drove her to AB trotters independent traders so she could collect her money and return the car. She went in by herself and Alan (not to be trusted), held back a 100 pound of her money saying she would get the money back when the car was sold with the tax on it. My partner never owned the car, (log book wasn't even sent off in her name ), so I messeged james about her money obviously quite upset, as he never returned messeges and didn't want to talk about the issue, he eventually messeged back and stated the government had my partners money lol, which I did find funny as he was deliberately holding her money back for whatever reason. I did tell him that what he was doing was theft as the log book wasn't even sent off.... Her 100 pound wasn't returned for over two weeks , when it eventually was it 25 short with no explaining why. I'm suspecting he'll say it was to clean the car which he should have not have taken as the car wasn't ready to be sold in the first place and my partner and I wasted hours driving back and forth to his dodgy show room. Don't believe a word they say or trust either of them ,Dodgy car dealers don't even cover it and cars aren't fit for purpose . Couple of con men. In response to AB Autos dated the 15th of December. The car was an over priced 2010 registered astra with low millage, 4000 so i expected it to be a reliable runaround for my partner....also it drained lots of fuel on my journey back and forth across town. The car wasn't as described before sale and there were lies told in the prossess of sale. The truthful reviews have stopped as ive nothing left to say apart from I found AB autos untrustworthy and difficult to deal with. There also has been no contact from me to the owner since my partners oweing 100 pound was partially refunded. Again another lie.
