Went today and politely explained as an asthmatic who lives in another city and is visiting at the weekend, that I needed an emergency inhaler. Despite the NHS website making it clear that a pharmacist can issue one, provided they asked who my regular doctor is and recorded it. The pharmacist said no immediately and didnt ask me how badly I needed it. Ive had to get an emergency inhaler previously in places and have never been refused. The staff would be advised to research the NHS rules for emergency medication prescription.
