Found this pub when I was searching for a dog friendly pub for lunch in Brighton, it got good reviews so we thought wed try it. Tucked away in a backstreet you certainly wouldnt stumble across it. There was a substantial menu and the prices were a little high, but when we got our meal we could see why. The portion sizes were huge and the quality of the food was excellent. We would definitely recommend seeking out this gem of a pub, you wont be disappointed.

Very disappointed with the meal I had in this pub. I ordered plaice & chips which arrived fairly quickly but the fish had been well over cooked and was like cardboard. The breadcrumb coating needed a drill to get through it and it was far too crunchy. It had basically been left to cook for far too long and in hindsight I should have returned it as unfit for consumption. Other than that the beer was good and the staff friendly.
