I applied for a role on indeed and missed a call but no message was left nor any email follow-up. I called back after a few days and discussed this role and another which was with a pharmaceutical company in Burgess Hill. In a return email I made clear which role I wanted to apply for but apparently I was put forward for both. I was interviewed for the other role, which surprised me somewhat - and I think this confused the company too when I explained. I accepted this other role as it was meant to be paying a higher daily rate but was told that I would have to negotiate any increase myself with the company (I think it was just lazyness on the consultants side as they had already processed it). The consultant assumed I would be happy with the lower rate because the role I wanted was this lower rate. Presumably Clearline pocked the difference. I got the impression they had found it difficult to recruit for this role. Sadly I only stayed in the role for a few days as I witnessed discrimination against a permanent member of the team. I called Clearline to let them know I didn't wish to work for this company, and why, and was told a meeting would take place. Later that day I was asked if I would consider returning - I'm not entirely sure what part of the discrimination I saw they thought I would like continue to work with! I got the impression that my reasons had not been conveyed to the company so I contacted the Governance team responsible for such issues at this company and had a 2 hour conversation. Out of politeness I let Clearline know and the response was something like "you shouldn't really be doing that". However I was reassured that I would be contacted about other suitable positions. I was paid for my few days along with a P45. I have seen a few roles that I would have been suitable for but no contact was made - so it seems like I was silently dropped for having morals and integrity. If one cares to study the Equality Act they might potentially recognise this as victimisation. Its a shame this organisation values there commission over ethics.

After leaving my recruitment role without another job secured I decided to look for some temp work so that I could take some time to think about my next career move. Chloe was extremely helpful and supportive from the very first phone call. She made an effort to find out what my needs and preferences were and presented me with several opportunities. She was open and transparent about the roles and companies, something that you don't always get with recruiters. I undertook a couple of interesting roles over a period of about 3 months and was very happy with the communication and support during that time. I've now moved into a permanent role but I'm extremely grateful to Clearline for their help and would definitely recommend working with them.

I recently had the pleasure to work with Chris Gower in the last week. From start to finish he was extremely professional. He guided me through the job role, the expectancy and the interview processes. Hes kept in touch regularly and followed up any queries in which I had and Ive found him very easy to talk to. Thank you again, Chris.
