I consider myself to be a law abiding citizen! However, one night in 1993, I attended a former school friends party in Henfield. I happen to be driving and had 2 or 3 other former school friends with me. Following the party it was suggested that we visit Brighton before we return home (London). To cut a long story short, we was all arrested. The others for street robbery, and I for being a look out/ accessory to robbery. I deny involvement, and was acquitted in Lewes Crown court. I spent the night in the cell with my former friends shouting and denying there involvement saying say nothing etc. I was embarrassed but a solicitor firm lawyer represented us (which the police called) and we was released on bale. I don't recall being offered water or food whilst there and wasn't given a blanket either (which the lawyer represented). It was the first time I had been arrested and didn't know what my rights was or know if I was allowed any rights! I thought I will tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth which I did my barrister and lawyer.
