Fair Trade SHOP

My family and I were planning on going ino this store to have a look and an older lady walked past my 8 year old son and very rudely asked him to stop mucking about with the sign. My son replied that he was trying to help as the sign had come undone. She didn't say thank you or sorry for talking so rudely to him but just walked off. Witnessing this I went into the store and asked the lady what she had said to my son to make sure I had heard right. I said that the way she had spoken to my son was in fact incredibly rude. She didn't apologise or say sorry just that he shouldn't have been doing it. What helping?? That was my response. The lady in fact was the owner of the store. I would not recommend this store to anyone if this is how they treat young people . She didn't even apologise for her behavior after being called out in it.

I've been to Nepal and India, and walking into this store is like stepping into those countries again. There are so many beautiful items to buy and support the local people that made them.We settled on a a delightful cushion. A store well worth a visit.

Very reasonable priced fairtraid items. Huge selection from bags, clothes, tebleware, soft funishings, pictures , toiletries and cards. Great place for gifts. I brought a very large hand woven cotton table cloth and lovely tea. The shop keeper was warm and welcoming.
