These guys are great. Helpful and generous with their time, and conscientious with their advice. Forget the bigger name, non specialist suppliers - this Portslade branch will save you time and money.

I am kitchen fitter ,and want to let all the tradesmen in the area know about my bad experience with Benchmark Hove branch, to be more specific with branch manager Dom. I went to Benchmark Hove branch couple of weeks ago and had a chat Dom about a potential customer , and we agreed he will come and take measurements following Monday at 10:00 am . He show up 11:30, making a very unprofessional first impression. During the meeting we had with the customer ,which pointed to him , that they would like the kitchen sorted asap , he agreed to come up with a design and keep us updated. After a week of waiting for him to give any news , I gave him a rang to ask about the progress of the kitchen planning, and he said I will have everything on the email next day. Never heard from him. I don't know what is his game, and I advise all fellows kitchen fitters to avoid Hove branch.

The pre-sales service was great, very kind and communicative. Once I made ordered and paid for my kitchen things started going downhill, initially there were just slip ups on agreed delivery date and poor communication in relation to that. After a week or so one of the cabinets had to be replaced as it got water damage, even though there was no active leak or water standing in the cabinet for hours or even more than a few minutes after a small spillage. In all fairness they did replace the cabinet rather quickly and without much hassle. Now less than a 1.5 from installation one of the tall cabinets had the whole side collapse and despite sending an email in this matter followed up by 5 phone calls over the course of the last month asking for a response, and being reassured every time that I will get a response to my email promptly I got nothing so far. All in all it seems like while it's a sales pitch it's great, but once you bought then they no longer care. The quality is far worse than say IKEA Pax systems (both are just chipboard in laminate, but the finish and quality is just on a different level. I just wish I got my kitchen from IKEA rather and have a hassle free warranty for 25 years then play this silly game of trying to catch someone and get my claim sorted. It shouldn't break in the first place, but I guess things can happen and should be dealt with quickly. It is however not the case with Benchmarx. Avoid.
