Autumn Lodge cared for my nan for 4 years until she recently passed away. When she initially moved to the Home she could be incredibly aggressive and challenging but the staff never gave up on her and offered her the best care we couldve asked for. The Home is interactive for residents with regular afternoon entertainment, a lovely garden and lots of decor to look at. Before covid they had a few annual parties which were lovely for visiting families. As a former chef Nan absolutely loved the food! Everyone has worked so hard throughout the pandemic to keep residents safe and it was so appreciated. The staff are incredibly dedicated and we cannot thank them enough for the care they provided to her. We couldnt have asked for a better place for her to be.

I would not recommend this care home if you have a relative with Alzheimer's who has complex needs. They claimed they could look after my step-dad, but couldn't cope with him as it was an unsuitable environment for him which they would have known if they had read his files properly (we found this out afterwards as these were not sent to us by the social worker). It wasdisappointing as the staff are caring, but there were a number of incidents which meant it was not a safe environment for him or other residents. I feel they were motivated by money in accepting him rather than ability to care for him and he ended up losing thousands of pounds because he had to pay for one on one care. They refused to acknowledge any fault on their part and we were too concerned with trying to find my stepdad a suitable home to pursue any further action. Fortunately, we've managed to get him in a brilliant care home and since then he has not been agitated, aggressive or tried to escape. If your relative is very mobile or does not get agitated, it will probably be a great environment for them but I sadly could not recommend this home for a relative with Alzheimer's.

My late uncle lived at Autumn Lodge for four and a half years. The care he received from the Manager and care staff was exceptional. My uncle had complex physical and mental health needs and he was treated with respect and dignity at all times. Whenever I visited Autumn Lodge and spoke to the staff I felt they really understood my uncle and his complex needs. My uncle formed strong bonds and relationships with the staff during his time at Autumn Lodge and this was evident whenever we visited. The activities the home organised were varied and a lot of thought went into the activities planned for residents. When my uncle died the staff attended my uncle's funeral which meant a lot to us as relatives. I really felt that Autumn Lodge went above and beyond and would highly recommend them.

Outstanding care home. I am physiotherapist and I have just done an internship here thanks to an Erasmus grant in a Master of Health Management. I am very proud to have worked and learnt so many things from the phenomenal and effective staff. This is a magnificent luxury care home where carers, deputies, maintenance and cleaners care exceptionally for residents to be in a safe and enjoyable place. All of it astonishingly well-led by the manager Jackie Wenham supported by the excellent Shangri-la Velasco and Gemma Mawbey. I do highly recommend the care home.
