This review is on their trustworthiness and being good people - they came round, got up on the roof , saw that 2 tiles had fallen off in the rain and high winds and put them back for me, free of charge, and carried on to their other many calls of the day! They also put a list of useful tips on our local facebook board to help people know what to look out for so they don't get ripped off at times of high demand, where when you are desperate for someone to come fix the water pouring in from your ceiling you might get contacted by someone with e.g. no liability insurance. Gavin and team initially was very punctual, any problems were rectified immediately. I was so impressed. Gavin came over personally to handle any concerns and get things sorted. Once he was paid his punctuality and after care were not up to standard. He had said that the works needed checking over, plus there was still some leakage from the gutter. He said that because of the constant rain during November, (and to be fair it was really awful rainy weather for any outdoor businesses) the works were not as good as they could have been. He apologised and I appreciated this. He promised to make good but sadly cancelled appointments 3 times over 2 weeks. That was upsetting. Since then he did send one of his workers round to handle the problem of the gutter. Much better! The scaffolding is still up as Gavin sorts this out by liaising with the scaffolder - I think I'd have preferred to organise this myself so I'd be more in control and not nag Gavin. Overall this process could have been a lot smoother but I'm sure Gavin had good intentions. It's so important to choose wisely when you are getting your roof fixed. Make sure the company are very reliable. UPDATE: Around the 15th July we discovered a tile had fallen from the roof that from an area repaired by Gavin's boys. I got in touch with a photo to show him. He responded immediately. The boys came round to look. It's now 19th August - nothing fixed yet, just promises to come. After many comms of "no problem", "yes we can fix it" and naming dates - no one has turned up to fix it. I am just so fed up. He's set a date for Friday morn. Wish me luck! Gavin is amazing - he has a fantastic business and rectified a tricky job in a three storey Victorian terrace ( and in terrible weather!) so easily and for an amazing price - my husband and I were astounded at the quality and efficiency of his team who are lovely chaps and so quick and professional. We didnt hesitate to recommend Gavin & his team to family members and are just thrilled with the price. Hes a lovely chap and brilliantly communicated with me quotes, explained the job and he organised the job super quickly and professionally. He quoted a very reasonable price and then charged me less as he felt the job was more straight forward than the estimate. We are honestly impressed and amazed. If youre looking for hard working, honest and brilliant professionalism look no further - Gavin is quite simply, the best. We will continue to be singing their praises.
