This is in relation to the community association which owns this venue which whilst is being used by the foodbank, the constitution for the association and the lack of access to this venue by the wider community of benefit is a crying shame and one on which those who are benefitting from the venue need to consider what is best for the entire community and this should be to organise for the community venue to be provided back to residents and all community groups who work in the area and be run as a community again as a resource for all and not just one organisation. The area demographics places a very large duty on these people to seriously consider if they are seriously meeting the public benefit criteria The legal duty to the trustees are not being adhered too, for example the business model is actually running the venue into the ground, and in more disrepair until its so bad the council will have to intervene. In 2012 trustees were illegally removed and the members were not legally notified when the trustees one of which is an elected councillor take the venue away from the community, and failed to in my opinion to failed to adhere to many of legal requirements, the request for information has been denied. A positive solution needs to be found for the area of benefit asap and that will have to be to bring the venue fully back in use and to elect trustees who are able to run the association, currently this is in serious doubt! And will only get worse. A centre fully open and providing community unity, a space to meet up and socialise and do artistic, creative, fun and community related activities for all groups and people in the community, make it accessible to all. And ensure it provides the ability to help local groups grow.
