I used Crosby & Woods for the sale of a house and Probate. I would NOT recommend them to anyone! Daniel Curry was great with the house sale right up until the end when he advised 10k more than there actually was went into the probate account. As the executor, this really complicated things as I advised the wrong amount to the beneficiaries. David Crosby was really helpful and responsive at the beginning, and then dropped off the face of the earth. I never received a call back, and only received responses to emails after I made a complaint or said I was going to write to the ombudsman. I honestly wish Id have dealt with probate myself, it would have been a lot less stressful. I dont normally write bad reviews, but I wouldnt want anyone else to have to deal with this when the death of a loved one is already a difficult thing to deal with.

Freya handled our flat sale very professionally and was responsive, understood the human side of the process very well, and showed great aptitude and empathy when things needed clarifying. Isabel was handling our onward property and has also been a pleasure to deal with for similar reasons. If I had to pick a particular quality, I would say that both Isabel and Freya brought a very human and direct approach to our conveyancing, which was both refreshing and reassuring, and engendered the trust that is so important in these kinds of transactions.
