We wanted to say how extremely pleased we both are with the design you provided for our garden. You listened to what we wanted for our space and also provided lots of insightful ideas we hadnt thought of. The result is beautiful and contemporary providing a different perspective from varying view points. The colours of the trees, shrubs and plants compliment each other and have provided an excellent show from spring onwards. We certainly would recommend you as a designer, as you have provided knowledge, inspiration and saved us time and expense. Alick at Fern and Pine has designed a stunning garden for us, taking in pretty much everything we had on our wish list but also taking it further, making suggestions that have resulted in a garden we love and is more beautiful than I could ever have imagined. I like to think of myself as an experienced gardener and plantsman but I'm so glad I invested in the services of a professional designer. I wouldn't have been brave enough to make the changes Alick suggested - and he recognised immediately the issues with the old layout that needed to be corrected that I had become 'blind' to. He was easy to work with, guided us in our thinking when we needed it but also took suggestions on board and incorporated them into the design. The garden contractors (who originally suggested Alick to us) found his designs to be easy to translate during the build and I've already had friends and neighbours asking for his details as they've been so impressed with his work. Very happy to recommend.

Alick and the team at Fern & Pine designed our garden for us in 2021 and we were very pleased with the result. After moving to a new home, we had a blank canvas from which to start and Alick created a garden that works for the whole family.
