We embarked on a 9 month renovation and could not have been happier with Minton Young. The team were knowledgeable and professional, the site always clean and tidy and the job was carried out on time. Could not fault them.

We chose Minton Young for their sensitivity towards traditional house retrofit, which was an important consideration for us, and their compatibility with our Architects. The house has a history important to the village, much of which we discovered during the renovation, and is in a conservation area. We were aiming for a breathable house with reduced running costs and included internal wall insulation in our spec, which has to be handled with particular expertise. The house challenged us all with hidden 16th century timbers, a lot of damp and various roofing issues. Ross and his team showed us, from day one, their total commitment, enthusiasm, skills and expertise to complete this sometimes unpredictable renovation in the agreed timeframe and for the agreed budget. They worked efficiently and with total professionalism and good humour, always to a very high standard that exceeded our expectations. They communicated appropriately and consulted with us throughout the process, including fortnightly team meetings to make sure we were always clear about next steps, and they coped with us putting in our own thoughts and views with good grace! Despite the inevitable disruption to the narrow road and deliveries to the project, the Minton Young team were respectful and considerate to the neighbouring shops and homes, always working in a clean and tidy way to minimise disruption. We are delighted that the renovation of our home received a Sussex Heritage Trust Award and would have no hesitation in highly recommending Minton Young for this type of project.
