As an Anchor Housing Trust tenant, I am able to access the guest rooms (2) at Old Viaduct Court, for a super reasonable price and I can only say it is worth a visit. My guest room was situated on the 1st floor and is easily accessible via the lift. The shower and toilet are immediately outside the room, but this isn't a great problem, although I do wonder why they couldn't be incorporated into the main room proper...but unfortunately the shower and toilet are for everyone's benefit...so be aware of that if you book a room here! By that I mean every flat has its own en-suite facilities, but many like to use the communal facilities as well. The main downside of this accommodation is the fact that ALL the light switches and power points are at the opposite end of the room, away from the beds, which means that you have to find the beds in the dark after you switch the lights out!! Good location for local shops, restaurants, pubs (4 or 5 within 200-300m) and assorted takeaways. Buses to the city are very frequent and stops are within 100m for main routes, or right outside the scheme for a more local route. The scheme is about 1.5 miles from the seafront and the city centre. There is very restrictive parking on site, and ALL local roads are permit holders only...so parking can be an issue...although if you possess a Blue Badge Certificate, there are the few highly prized spots available. Well worth a visit if you are visiting friends, family or just having a break in Brighton & Hove.
