Albany Hotel Brighton & Hove

Got to hotel to find out it is no longer in operation despite having already paid. No cancellation email leaving 16 of us with nowhere to stay. Spoke to the lady over the phone that week to try and extend booking and was told hotel was fully booked. When we called Oyo they told us there was nothing that they could do. Would strongly suggest finding somewhere else.

The room itself was okay but the decor of the OYO Albany in desperate need of an upgrade. The room was on the top floor and so hot we couldn't sleep! We had to keep the window open all night(it wouldn't stay open on its own however, we had to prop it up with the kettle!)The lifts were out of order(the stairs very steep)and I fail to understand why customers must pay 15pounds to use the venue parking ! Needless to say we found parking outside for 7pounds.The beds not great either , but we did find this at most of the places we stayed also.
