I hired Nick and his team to build a large loft conversion in my bungalow in the summer of 2022. They started on time and completed the work within the timeframe that was given. We're very happy with the result, and we're amazed at how much it's transformed the property. I highly recommend Doorstep Carpentry if you're looking for a fair price and a reliable team.

Used the owner of this business before he was kicked out of previous business. Didn't finish job. Left me to pick up pieces. If you want photographs happy to supply to show damage he left. Blocked me on WhatsApp so no recompense at all. Ignored emails. I know i should have gone to small claims court but trusted him to sort out mistake. Don't use. Even previous partner admitted he had carried out job wrong. Patio doors that were put in. One fell out. If a child was behind that who knows what would have happened. Had replaced under insurance and they provided building compliance certificate. Something Nick never did. Have reported this also as probably didn't comply with building regulation

Nick and the team at Doorstep Carpentry did a great job on our loft conversion. They kept us informed throughout the build and were very tidy. Nick was happy to accommodate any changes we suggested and also gave us all the information we'd need to make informed decisions during the build. We were always kept in the loop if any changes were going to result in additional costs so there were no surprises when the invoice arrived. Highly recommended.

Nick and his team completed a loft conversion with en-suite for us. They are trustworthy and on budget. The workmanship is good and all the trades that Nick subcontracted to (electrician/plasterer) were good too. For extra, the boys decorated too! We are really happy with the extra space!
