I can't thank Tora enough for her support, advice and organisation skills for my brother's funeral and ceremony. She is exceptional in the care, time and person centred care that she gives. A warm, caring and friendly service, it made a very sad and difficult time as good as it could be. I have no hesitation in recommending her and her team, they are amazing!

I was so relieved when I spoke to Tora at The Modern Funeral. I knew instantly I wanted to use them for my Dad's burial. Tora, Anki and the team were wonderful . Tora was professional yet sensitive and warm in the way she conducted the service. They were extremely flexible in adapting to our various suggestions. They helped me give my Dad the gracious send off I wanted in just the right tone. We will certainly recommend them to others.

When my sister Julia died recently, I suggested to her husband that we meet with Tora to discuss the funeral arrangements, as my inlaws had used her on several occasions and I had been impressed. We had already visited another funeral director, but didn't feel they really understood what we wanted. As soon as we arrived at the Modern Funeral, we knew we were in the right place. It was stylish, calm and very comfortable, and we felt like Julia would be in good hands. Immediately Tora and Anki put us at ease and gently and sensitively talked us through the decisions we needed to make. They also introduced us to a funeral celebrant, Gitte, who proved to be perfect for our needs. Previously I have seen Tora lead funerals, and she is also very good. Tora, Anki and the funeral celebrant Gitte are all lovely and very genuine people who really made the effort to provide the creative and natural funeral my sister would have wanted. We chose a natural burial at Clayton Woods and they took time and care to ensure everything was just as we wanted. The ceremony was beautiful, peaceful and had just the right words and music - which somehow Gitte had pieced together from our many communications and emails. Friends told us it was the most beautiful funeral they had ever been to. I would totally recommend the Modern Funeral to anyone looking for a non traditional funeral. I'm so glad we chose them.
