My mother was sent here as an 8 year old when it was a convalescence home for poorly children. She had severe asthma, and it was thought the sea air would help. She is now 76 and still going strong

Would avoid working here. The management expect staff to get beaten daily and say "its part of the job" ... not professional fighters it's not part of the job to be told "Sometimes you need to stand there and let a learner take their anger out on you" Secondly. Alot of the deputy managers or team leaders have no people skills or staff management skills and are bullies. Lastly you are told countless times that your family life, social life, home life etc are not priority. Work is. Only work here if you are desperate. The learners are the best part about the career, they genuinely appreciate your support and always smile.
