I've been going to this lovely man for years. He is much cheaper then most rip off bike shops especially if you want a puncture fixed or a wheel straightened. i've gone to other places in the past and always end up having to pay more for some random things they decide to fix without asking me and then stitch me up with a bill double than i expect to pay. None of this ever happened when i went here so i highly recommend him.

Strudwick Cycles in Oxford Street, Brighton: KEEP AWAY FROM THEM! The cowboy running this shop is ripping people off big time, and is utterly unprofessional. I do wish I'd some online reviews before I went there! I went with a simple job - a replacement gear cable as mine had just snapped. He bunged one on but didn't tension the gears properly, giving me dangerous slipping when trying to ride. He refused to put things right, and only when I threatened to report him to Trading Standards did he give me a partial refund (nowhere enough to cover the cost of getting things put right at another shop. He was angry, offensive, rude, and a complete scam artist. Don't be lured in by the cheap prices and the possibility of a quick job, he will do it on the cheap and quick, or not at all, and you're the one whose life is at risk if you're riding a bicycle that isn't roadworthy because of his shoddy service! This bicycle was a gift from my mother before she passed away, so it is precious to me and I deeply regret letting him get his grubby mitts anywhere near it, as he so clearly doesn't give two hoots about the bicycles he works on! If you want any sort of customer service and any sort of quality then do yourself a favour and use one of the many other local shops (I usually use the Cycle Store on London Road).
