We went to Mottistone Gardens on a slightly dull and damp day.....so probably didn't see it at its best. The gardens are well laid out, and I can imagine that in the height of summer, they will be fantastic. Mottistone obviously has a team of dedicated grounds people. If I was being super picky, a few more labelled plants wouldn't go amiss. As far as I am aware, the hall itself is unoccupied, and the NT is debating what to do with it. It is a wonderful building, so I hope the NT does start to allow visitors in on a regular basis.

We enjoyed the garden, which was tranquil. Everything is maintained to a high standard. Lovely walk up to the tomb stone and seeing the bluebells. You are not disappointed with the view.

Beautiful place to visit during spring and summer the gardens are amazing in bloom, and the surrounding area has lovely views from the downs and not forgetting the Longstone a place of worship in the bronze age older than stonehenge.
