Clarence House Nursing Home

We put our faith and trust in Clarence House and we are so disappointed with the lack of care my Dad received. Within 7 days of supposed respite care my Dad was massively dehydrated, had a serious infection and a pressure sore. He was blue lighted into hospital. If my Dad recovers he will not be going back to a place where even basic care cannot be provided.

My dad has recently been removed has had a dreadful stay after having a hip joint replacement . He went in originally to wait for a bed in a rehabilitation place . He is half the man he was . The manager incopatance as on care plan that took a lot of getting to . Put the wrong date of birth . Wrong name half way through and also put a DNR without a signature or confirmation from family or my father . All we got was a smile and a sorry. Not good enough . He lost a lot of weight . I was told he got help eating as bad hands but when we went to visit his bed would full of dropped food as he had to feed himself ,a lot of weight lost ended up in hospital twice after I had to demand a doctor come see him . Would never recommend this place for anyone . My dad after 7 weeks is only just looking something like has a long way to go .

Terrible place to work at I wouldn't recommend it, the staff are verbally abuse and lack of communication. And a lot of neglect towards the residents

Not allowed to say how they treated my mum. But if you care about a family member this is Not the home for you
