I wholeheartedly recommend Julian to anyone who wants to play the piano. Having not played for a long time I started lessons with Julian last year. His patience, encouragement, extensive musical expertise and wonderful sense of humour make my piano lessons a highlight of my week. My confidence in playing has grown and technical skill is returning under Julian's guidance. More importantly, my love of playing has been rekindled. Julian has a way of understanding what each individual pupil needs to overcome challenges - I wish he'd been around when I was learning as a child!

Julian is a very professional, gifted piano teacher, his teaching technique is brilliant and communication is great, he is also very encouraging to his student. Initially my daughter was studying with someone else at a studio, but she wasnt really making much progress. Then we found Julian, I feel very fortunate and blessed to have found Julian as my daughters piano teacher, its been a few months since my daughter started learning with Julian and she has made tremendous progress. I would recommend anyone to learn from Julian, he is such a gifted piano teacher and I think its quite hard to find such good piano teacher nowadays.

Julian teaches my family piano- we are at various levels from beginner to grade 5 ABRSM. Julian has a very methodical and detailed approach; his knowledge of music and in particular piano is incredible. We have used other piano tutors locally but I have found their teaching to be inconsistent especially when it comes to passing ABRSM exams or the theory of piano playing, my daughters have recently passed their exams with distinction grades. Julian has a wealth of experience and we all feel very lucky to have him as our piano tutor.

Julian is a wonderful teacher! He was able to guide me from the beginning of my piano journey at 5 years old, right through to achieving my grade 8 - something we both worked extremely hard on to achieve. Not only this, he was able to guide me through my academic music studies at school - helping me through GCSEs and also A Level music. He has impeccable attention to detail and always strived for me to achieve the best. I can only recommend Julian with the highest praise as he is such a gifted musician.

My ten year old daughter started piano lessons with Julian in March this year. She has made excellent progress, far exceeding our expectations. She adores Julian and looks forward to her lesson every week. Julian is very encouraging and works hard to build her confidence, pushing her out of her comfort zone whilst also making lessons fun and interesting. He has an excellent sense of humour and many stories to tell, much to her delight! He accommodates my unusual work pattern when booking lessons which is greatly appreciated. I cannot recommend him highly enough. My daughter always leaves her lesson keen to get home and practice, and with a great big smile on her face!
