This is my first experience of both a family funeral directors and a female funeral director and it was a whole different level of sensitivity and genuine kindness. Karen Hussey was a calming, reassuring guide supporting me throughout. No hard sell just help and kindness.

I had Karen Hussey advise and guide me on giving my Father in law a fitting tribute speech at his service and advice on local florists . I don't think the advice was included in the funeral plan . Karen was helpful at every communication or question I has. Even helping to get some small snippets of hair for us to keep .

Very helpful people, in particular Darren. I wanted a basic funeral (called a direct funeral) but I wanted a touch more dignity and care to the affiar than on offer from on-line providers. Down provided a splendid alternative - the extra cost over on-line providers was well worth it.

What can I say apart from absolutely brilliant. Darren made us fill at ease. any questions we asked he answered.helped us to find out with any information what we needed and made it so easy for us.the day went really well too me and my family went away and all said how well and nice the day was made by them.we're so pleased we used them and 100%would recommend them.thanks Darren and team.

Bereavement needs a special kind of intuitive handling and from the moment I walked through the door clutching my father's best suit and tie, I felt Dad had come "home". Darren and the team really pulled out all the stops for us all as a family. My father wanted a Direct Cremation without a service and we followed his wishes but as a family, we followed the hearse and whilst we stood on the threshold Darren said the Celtic Blessing. It was beautiful and a really touching way to say RIP Dad. I can't recommend AG Down highly enough. Thank you to all the team. Especially Darren Holt and Catherine and the choccie labrador that gave me the best laugh ever! We will dine out on the Rocking Urn story for years!
