Both rac and independent diagnostic machines showed same fault, the man that does your repairs at a scrap & salvage yard said he replaced the sensor. The key used by rac at home was not faulty one, he took spare key Please get your details correct Lee, we bought a 12 year old car which you said had little mileage and use added over past 4 years according to the MOT history and according to your own receipt had 71,000 miles on the clock, we paid you 3000 cash and our old car which you gave us 495 total 3495, We have the original receipt that shows this. The free AA card you gave us had expired in June 2022 so was unusable and I advised you of this. You replaced only 1 faulty tyre after we supplied a report fromHalfords and this was fitted incorrectly as below, The oil didnt loose just a drop we put in over 1 litre and you had said oil leak on mot advisories had been fixed before we bought it and when you checked it was found to have a hairline crack in the sump which you have now repaired. The brakes etc were also an advisory but you you insisted that was because the car had not been driven and they were only slightly rusty, the Halfords report I sent to you said one brake binding and all needed checking. We have also had to replace the exhaust which we paid for as wear and tear. You told us when collecting repaired car that the car door seal had been replaced after photo I sent you showing mould forming on back seat and wet floor - no liquids had been used or stored there so no spills- your man told me yesterday that he had not replaced door seal. I didnt come back to you this last time as you made it very clear to us that the warranty ended when you handed back our car after the repairs reported within the 3 month warranty, and whenever we had called at the garage it was mostly closed and as warranty had ended I sent to a garage not expecting you would cover it. Your motor mechanic who had worked for you contacted us after our review as I would not answer further calls from you as you were shouting and abusive to me because your review was not good and On advice from Trading Standards who said we still have legal rights up to 6 months I allowed your company to to collect and repair the fault this time as it is within 6 months of purchase (not yet 5 months since 17/10/22) and as advised will now be looking at getting a full engineers report. In answer to your message to me today, I am not deleting this review You have been abusive to me and also threatened me with legal action. I am still waiting for the service record of full service he says he had done END EDIT Bought a car with 3 months warranty from a Bridlington dealer. Know its 12 years old but only low mileage. Have had so many things wrong with it, door lock stopped working first week(this had failed Mot but had been fixed and passed 2nd mot) Water pouring in back so he put a new door seal on, replaced split tyre which he had said had been replaced(checked with Halfords who said still split) with a second hand tyre. Replaced Tyre lost air within a week so went to inflate but no nozzle to be seen. Went to another garage (he was closed) who jacked car up and took tyre off to inflate, tyre had been put on wheel wrong way round (labelled back and front) so garage put tyre on right way, inflated and put wheel back on so that wheel cover no longer covered the nozzle cost obviously to do this. Today car would not start again ( RAC out to it previously) he found a sensor nut had beef shorn off, asked us if work had been carried out recently, which it had as another fault that had to be done under warranty and that we has been assured was sorted before purchase was that the sump had a hairline crack but it was still leaking oil and had to be replaced, the sensor was right next to the replaced sump. RAC taken car to a garage to have sensor replaced, waiting to hear cost for that, definitely would not recommend buying from them to anyone. Two garages we went to asked where we bought it from and rolled eyes and one said not surprised
