I had a trade account and had bought a few items from their Bridlington branch over a period of time. I ran into severe problems when I ordered a shower enclosure which got delivered. I had kept this item in the unopened box for a few weeks as the tradesman had postponed the job due to the job he was on having overrun. When the tradesman arrived he and I then opened the factory sealed box and noticed one of the shower doors was shattered. The box had definitely not been knocked whilst in my possession. I guess it had happened in the couriers van. I went to the Bridlington branch and the branch manager was immediately extremely hostile said its too late to accept the return. He shut the warehouse door in my face! I left the damaged enclosure in the shop next door before he got chance to shut the shop door. He lost his temper and shouted you can't leave it in here. I walked out of the shop he then violently threw the shower enclosure out of the shop into the car park. Luckily I hadn't paid for it yet on my account. I contacted the head office, they agreed to credit my account for it. I settled my account for the remaining items. Later on I intended to place another order only then to find out he had closed my account with telling me. I would definitely avoid the Bridlington branch and place any future orders using another branch in a different town. Admittedly I should have opened the manufacturer sealed packaging on the day of delivery to check for damages but didn't do so as I didn't want to risk losing any bits by having it all left opened especially as the unopened packaging looked to be in good condition.
