        Last year I had a total hip replacement my Surgeon Mr R Marsh did a wonderful job on me. I had the operation in the morning, by 7 pm I was on .my way home. A friend took me in in the morning then picked me up by 7 pm and took me home. I can't thank her enough for taking care of me, making sure I ate and drank. Prior to this op I had a full knee replacement I had to stay in the night of this op. I was lucky enough to get over this op with my daughter and son in law taking care of me. I would recommend anyone in pain with hips or knees to get them operated on, the pain relief is instant.

        What IS there is very good but sadly Bridlington hospital needs more wards and departments opening. It is totally ludicrous that a town like Bridlington does not have a fully operational hospital. Bridlington is a town made up of young families and elderly people. We have no maternity care, no dental care, very little cancer care and NO ACCIDENT AND EMERGENCY. Making sick people travel long distances is a death sentence for many. People cannot afford taxis to get them to Scarborough, Hull and York.
