Went in to get suit trousers tapered to fit better. The gent behind the counter was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and was sure to explain all the options etc. After pinning I left them for a week, and sure enough on collecting my trousers they fit perfectly, work carried out to a very high standard and all for much less cost than I was originally thinking it would cost. Cannot recommend this business enough, will definitely use again if I need any alterations Service: Alterations

Phoned up to see if the shop was open and asked for a price. 12 quid each for altering the hems on five pairs of trousers, one pair had already been trimmed to length so just needed turning up and sewing; to the young mans credit he said he'd take 10% off so it was 54 pounds. Had asked if he would do five for four as one pair didn't need much and then got a long speech about because of Covid they had lost a lot of business, it was a dying trade, he might end up loosing his car/ house/ job e.c.t and although I indulge people in shops in conversation didn't really feel I needed that kind of "angst" and became quiet flustered. Said that I'd have to wait a couple of days for one of the "machinists" to come in and do them. Anyway, at the end of the week I went in to check (the phone number on the slip your given wasn't written down right) Tried them out for length two pairs were still too long, my fault, it's difficult to work it out when you measure yourself. Saw the father in the shop and he said that it really wasn't down to them if I hadn't measured right, I asked if he could turn the existing hem up half an inch and run a stitch through, said he would,..OK..went to the shop(Tues) and the lad was there and said we're closing this afternoon for the lock down. Got the opinion that he knew what it was about because he was smirking to the point of laughing. After all that! It was the attitude that you are "done unto" and that you were there at their behest that really "got up my hooter." Will have to find some one with a sewing machine, or take it up myself,..would have been as quick and a lot cheaper;...Maybe go to Saval Row London instead;..Attitude... Service: Alterations
