I would not recommend my son was on a 2 year apprenticeship with remote learning and only had a handful of lessons.Initially they had technical problems which went on for months before any learning started. Also never visited his place of work although kept saying they would. He finished his course early as his employer offered him a job . I informed the college never had a reply. Shocking

Lv2 electrical installation- Construction and Civil engineering is a absolute shambles of a sector. Started the course one year ago, fully paid out of my own pocket. Been through 5 lectures, the whole year constant no shows for classes and excuses as to why people arent turning up for their job. Further to the complete incompetence by the head of departments for not actually reaching into the funding pocket and bringing someone in up to the job for the rest of the year or sooner. And when they finally find someone fit for the job 6 weeks to the end of the course/exams hes gone as well. Out of the whole class one kid had sense to leave in the first two weeks and two gents whos company paid for it couldnt handle the stress and hassle and pulled out month in. Honestly if youre thinking of taking your child to this college, save yourself the hassle and put them in an apprenticeship, ideally not though this college, go through Yeovil/wells; especially any trades electrician, plumber, chippy. I dont want anyone else making the mistake i have.
