    I'm sorry, but you've left your first time customer disappointed and confused. Placed an order with delivery via Just-Eat. Order was confirmed, but then maybe 10min later I received a voicemail from a lady with a thick accent asking if I'm coming to pick the order up. I thought that perhaps there was an error on the system, so I rang back and spoke to the same lady. I'm reading between the lines here, but assuming that they perhaps didn't have any staff to deliver the food and the only option was collection? ..the customer service on the phone was a bit poor: I didn't receive the explanation about the situation and although the lady was polite, it did not seem that she really understood what I was saying.. she only asked if I was coming to pick up my order? I said no and explained that I had already paid for the delivery, but then she asked me the same question again repeatedly. I said that I was unable to pick it up and asked if collection was the only option. Lady said no, but then confirmed that it was by asking me if I can come and collect it.. again, I said no. I just did not know what to say any more.. Then, she just said ok and that she'll refund me the money and said good-bye.. After that, Just-Eat texted me saying that: "restaurant cancelled your order, because they tried calling to double check your details but couldn't get hold of you.' Absolutely nothing against accents or different cultures and I'm sure the food would have been delicious, but.. this is not the best first impression. I would have been totally happy if the lady just mentioned that perhaps they didn't have any drivers today. Also, not sure if this was a one-off thing for Elysian or if this is the norm. I understand Covid is not making it easy for small businesses either.
