I worked at Bridgehaven from 2018 as a carer and then on the Housekeepinv team. All I can say is every single person there are angels and work their heart out with true professionalism and love. I'm amazed at you all and am privileged to have worked there with you. Keep going and do what you do best!

My much-loved mother has been living at Bridge Haven for over six years. During that time, as her dementia has progressed, she has been cared for so wonderfully that I have been able to once again live my own life without worry. Those people who have cared for a dementia patient will know exactly what I mean. When my mother moved to the home, she had a serious skin condition. Within six months, it had disappeared and, although she is now almost completely on bed rest, there is not a mark or a sore on her body. This gives you an idea of the care that she has received. I will never be able to repay the staff at Bridge Haven for the care my mother has received; for their kindness and patience, for their unfailing good humour and respect for the people in their care. I am constantly amazed at the fact that they must begin every day knowing very well that there is no cure, no improvement possible, that no one ever gets better and yet they carry on cheerfully with their daily work. Thank you, Bridge Haven. Postscript. My lovely mother died quietly and peacefully in her sleep after months of being in a semi coma. During this time, she was turned every few hours and fed by hand by the staff and her body, although much reduced, was clear of bedsores and inflammation. I had hoped and prayed that she would end her life at Bridge Haven and that is what happened and I am for ever grateful. I feel very fortunate that I found this lovely home and that my mother had a peaceful end to her life.
