West House Farm Cottages

We spent a weekend in this this lovely cottage. We had a very comfortable stay and Sue was very welcoming. The cottage is very spacious and enough for x4 adults. There is a bathroom with both a bath and a shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with lots of utensils, pans, plates etc all ready to make a meal. There is a washing machine and a dishwasher which is very convenient. The highlight of our stay was meeting Clover, the sweetest cat who would sneak in to the cottage at any opportunity to snuggle with us. There is another friendly cat called Lucky, also very meek but not as brazen :-) the cottage also has a lovely outdoor area with table and chair as well as an amazing hot tub which is always on ready to be used - very relaxing on cold evenings.

Just had the absolute best week here! Susan the host was an absolute pleasure and the cottage itself (the old byre) was fantastic! The kids loved the park, hot tub and animals! Plenty to do while there!! Would recommend buttermere and whinlatter Forrest! Aswell as heading into Keswick to play on the lake! I look forward to returning! Would strongly recommend

Had a beautiful stay at The Bothy in August. The place was lovely and cozy. Susan was a great host and had great suggestions for areas to visit. Would definitely recommend and we would love to come back. Thanks again for having us!

Sad to be leaving tomorrow, we've had a great week away and will definitely be back! Susan the owner couldn't be friendlier or more helpful, a great host. The kids absolutely loved the farm animals in the surrounding fields and really enjoyed the little play area. The highlight for them though was going down in the morning to see if the hens had laid any eggs for their breakfast. Overall a great place whether you're a family or a couple. Plenty of things to do within the local area, we would suggest the Ratty Railway from Ravenglass to Eskdale if you have kids or just stay in and relax in the hot tub! Can't wait to be back!
