I see the NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard) brigade are out again, you cant be that blinkered to not know about the nations current housing crisis. So with the homes required to meet these targets where exactly do you expect these homes to be built? My wifes commute currently takes around 45 minutes for 3.4 miles, so inner citys local infrastructure is already over capacity during rush hours, plus with brownfield sites becoming scarcer by the day. The obvious solution is to look for areas that a capable of sustaining such developments. One great bit of advice Ive read in a few of these posts is get together as a local collective and have your say on these schemes, so they can be welcomed and integrated into local life. Proposals like these could even provide local financial stimulus and allow the return of local amenities such as post offices, shops and pubs. Not to mention future homes for locals growing families. While everyone is rather unfairly vilifying David and his company, the amount of risk and work that goes into each scheme to able to refute any possible planning or local concern is vast and they provide work for lots of people both directly and indirectly. For full disclosure, Im a residential layout designer and have been employed in that field since leaving school in the late 80s They are coming to a site near you so except it, have your say and just think that there are worse things in life because in 10 years time it will just be the norm.

These guys think destroying woodland and grazing fields by sticking 230 houses up is good for the environment. Propaganda stinks!

A parasitic, rapacious organisation with no knowledge nor care of the areas in which they 'develop'. Greed-driven land grab without the slightest thought for the environment nor residents.
