An absurd membership fee gives anyone that signs up the illusion that this going to be a luxurious, state of the art facility; however, this is not the case, since the huge amount of building work began - which paying members were given no prior notice to - half of the gyms equipment such as cable machines and bench presses have been ripped out with no sign of their return, this therefore makes any kind of weight training near impossible. Furthermore, the lack of equipment along with the already overcrowded gym creates an uncomfortable, condensed atmosphere in which you will struggle to complete a weight-based workout without ludicrous waiting times for equipment. Additionally, my inquiry to the manager regarding my membership ended with my email being completely ignored after he had once replied several days earlier. Despite this upsetting setback, I tried to reach out via social media (Instagram in particular) to gauge the opinions of other members and to share my experience, to my utter shock I found myself blocked from viewing or interacting with the Gymetc Instagram account, without receiving any justification or at least answers to my questions. This demonstrates the appalling lack of customer service skills, held by an inadequate set of staff, led by an inconsiderate manager, I do hope to hear from the guys at Gymetc regarding how I (as I paying customer) was shunned by the team twice.

Very poor that members have not had a reduced membership over this period when half of the gym is closed. There is now very little equipment and very little chance of getting on it. I certainly wouldn't join for the next couple of months!

Under demolition at present due to an expansion scheme (hope that includes matching pairs of handweights and plates!) No advance notice of this with lots of construction noise and displaced equipment across the two floors.Quite a disorganised gym overall really eg the class booking system is a scrap of paper on the counter and uncertainty when children's swimming classes are on in the pool.
