Whilst their intentions are good, NatCen make you feel like you've signed up to help them gather research for the rest of your life. A guy showed up at my door one day and asked to conduct some travel research. Friendly enough guy, showed his ID and papers. Set up an appointment, which was tedious enough because I just wanted to do whatever was needed on the spot and get on with my day. I reluctantly agreed, and he headed over one day after a long day in the office. The whole thing took about eighty laborious minutes, and I got a 5 high street voucher for my time. Fast forward two years later, and these people are still calling my phone. They tried on my birthday, they called me again yesterday (at which point I just blocked their number) and they've tried calling me twice today, only for the number blocker to notify me of their attempts. They still send things to my house, which is a massive waste of paper. I've asked to be taken off the database as I'm not interested in partaking anymore and they STILL persist. Very intrusive and annoying. If they show up at your door, prepare for a slog.
