Burntwood Pharmacy

I was 50 miles from home and had run out of some medications. I tried several the larger local outlets first without any success. This pharmacy had all the medication that I required. The staff were all absolutely amazing and as helpful as they could be given the unexpected problems I encountered with the National Health Service !

Extremely disappointed with the service of the elderly female counter assistant (did not give her name). Unfortunately there was an issue with their prescription system where they said my prescription was not on the system. Having then checked my nhs app, called my GP and my local pharmacy, who all confirmed prescription was sent night before (3 sources of verification), and then provided me with the NHS spine number, and the exact time it was available on the spine. As soon as I came back to pharmacy minutes later, it had just been sent through now apparently, despite the date of prescription on paperwork being the night before, which they handed to me! Thoroughly disappointed as when I mentioned this to the counter assistant, she became very aggressive with a rant on how Ive apparently called her a liar. This was extremely unprofessional on her part and she kept on interrupting me without letting me complete a sentence, and then demanding to not be interrupted herself. A pinnacle of the NHS is the service provided and I was shocked at the lack of adherence to NHS standards on communication to patients. I would suggest to avoid this pharmacy at all costs as there are many other more professional and clinically capable pharmacy services locally. To ensure reliability and validity of this review, I am happy to be contacted regarding this, and would advise the practice owner to review cctv of this incident, as I suspect it is not an isolated one.

Small pharmacy and well stocked but does give an impression of being disorganised at times.

Ridiculous opening hours on weekend. And actually closed early.... 12.57. Lost a customer of 30 years.

I feel I should make everyone aware that this Chemist service is appalling there is a member of staff called Jane who is extremely rude and obnoxious. I had a prescription collected which was 18.70 one item was pain medication and the other was paracetamol 500mg tabs they tried to charge me 9.35 for 0.50 pence paracetamol tabs on questioning this I was told that you must have these as the are correctly dosed? Lol you can buy these over the counter for 0.50 pence any good chemist knows this and wouldnt try to Con an ill person out of money absolute profiteering at its worse shame on this establishment. Anyway I held my own and asked politely for a refund for the paracetamol as no one in there right mind would pay ( 9.35 ) for paracetamol Jane then tried to play my wife against me saying its not there fault she should of checked the meds when collected? This is a joke anyway as you can imagine this underhanded attempt to cover there stupidity was meet with I would just like a refund please!! what follows was well we dont have to give you a refund but we will in a very patronising manner and a very rude tone. Me can I just have a refund please her well we dont have to give you a refund as she is processing the refund request and this went on and on. I then said I dont appreciated your lame attempt to get a raise from me please issue the refund still she continues with the facade and patronising tone honestly this member of staff needs help and retraining. The levels of stupidity amazes me to all the good people who get the medication you have plenty of choices of great chemist to choose from just dont use this one as there clearly here just con people out of money be blessed stay healthy. The reply you see underneath is just a feeble attempt to cover their bad service and rude staff please avoid this chemist at all cost as they dont deserve your business.
