Brentwood Care Centre

Our Mum was basically left to rot by another local care home (Leonard Lodge in Brentwood) and had to be rushed by ambulance to hospital to be treated by IV infusions for severe dehydration. We obviously refused to allow the hospital to return her to what we felt was a dangerous place. We therefore started looking around with little success or co-operation. We were becoming distraught as it was obvious Mum had very little time left. We began to feel dejected - That is until we called the Brentwood Care Centre. Right from the start they couldn't do enough to help us. I spoke initially with Annie and Christina, and when they heard of our plight, the calls were taken over by the General manager, Torrie (Hope I have the spelling right). Well, to say she was a Saint is an understatement. Torrie took over all our problems and dealt with each of them in turn. She liaised between us and the Hospital, and also dealt with the Complex Care Management team. We felt a total relief. Over the last day or so Torrie has resolved all our difficulties and has expedited Mum's discharge from hospital back to the home. Bear in mind that all of this will have been accomplished in little more than 24 hours !!! As regards the home, we looked at Mum's room and were pleasantly surprised. The home was clean and modern. The room was large with an en suite wet room, and had a lovely bay window. I only wish we had found the Brentwood Care Centre earlier. Once again I cannot thank you all enough, particularly Torrie for giving a service far beyond that which we expected. As a p.s. I should not forget the lovely Jennifer who answered my calls and again was so very helpful and reassuring. If you have any doubts about placing a relative or loved one here, please don't. They will be in safe and caring hands.

I have to say that after being shown the facilities and spending some time with Sommer Turner (Customer Relations Manager) I was highly impressed with the property, the attentive staff and Sommers passion to make this Care Centre stand out from the rest. Thoroughly recommend you speak to Sommer if you are thinking about you or a loved one moving into this lovely place.

I joined RCH in June of this year and have been amazed by the dedication and commitment to providing person centred care to each and every resident. The team are eager to embrace positive change, respectful of each other and have worked tirelessly to provide a safe place for residents to live. Well done Team Brentwood!

My uncle moved in here last year and has been treated with respect and dignity at all times. All the care staff and nurses are polite, friendly and are always happy to help with any needs. They have managed brilliantly in the pandemic, keeping my uncle safe and my family well informed throughout

I've been impressed with the managment team at Brentwood. Torie (General Manager) has led the HOD team and care team with passion and support to ensure the residents living at Brentwood Care Centre recieve the best care. Great team and great care home.
