For 8 to have shellac removed and filing done, there is only so much you can expect. Shellac removal was done well and efficiently. Filing however was very aggressive with a very coarse file and left two nails broken, not just on the white tip.

I went in there for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I entered and told them Id booked an appointment - they were very efficient and immediately had me seated and started on my nails. As someone who has worked within salons I did notice all of the files being used seemed quite old and worn hence it took quite a while to buff away at my nails and file down the acrylic, which did in turn hurt my side walls a little as there was a lot or sawing shall we say . The gentleman doing my nails was very polite however didnt speak much, probably as he was focusing, but when he did speak it was extremely difficult to hear him as he was virtually whispering and I felt a little embarrassed to have to say pardon around 5 times, that can be overlooked as he was very sweet! Ive visited a number of salons to get my nails done and on a few occasions have come out with very thick bulky acrylics - which I hate - however these acrylics had practically no thickness to them which I was very impressed with. I chose a gel colour and unfortunately once he had finished some of my nails had loads of little air pockets/bumps which was a little sad, however I think they may have been a little busy that day as the man doing my nails was constantly picking up the salon phone, so I think he was a little distracted and didnt realise the bumps. I had some cuticle oil applied then was asked to WASH MY HANDS?! I was a little confused by that, it most likely wasnt their intention but it made me feel like I was being called dirty or unhygienic, especially since the man telling me to wash my hands was very insistent on me using the soap, which disregarded my thought of them simply wanting me to rinse off the excess dust. Plus upon entering I used their hand sanitiser and then they touched my hands for a solid 30+ minutes (Im pretty sure with gloves but dont quote me on that) which made me even more confused as to why they would suddenly want me to wash my hands. Im also now washing all the cuticle oil off so there was really no point of that being applied as oils can take from 30 minutes to an hour to soak into the skin and cuticles. So that was definitely a first for me. Besides those points I will definitely return as I was very satisfied with the outcome (minus the little air bumps - which Im sure was just a one off mistake due to their busyness) and I dont mind being asked to wash my hands it was simply a request I was very confused about!
