I have been left devastated at the dreadful haircut that was carried out today. I asked if I could have a style like Chris Jenner, we looked at photos. But the stylist just kept cutting for almost an hour and a half. Thankfully I asked her to leave the top long (that I could see). But she kept going at it at the sides and back with thinning scissors as she said it looked blunt. Did she not know how to cut it to soften it? I did hear a colleague mention to her that she had cut a lot of hair off. I never dreamed it would look so bad, when she showed me the back with the mirror. There was no styling and it just looked like something done at a cheap men's barbers. I was left shaking and could hardly speak. All I could say was 'It looks like a man's haircut.' One member of staff said, 'What can we do?' and her colleague said 'We can't stick it back on can we.' I wasn't charged as they could see how distressed I was, and they offered me products to help it grow! Which I declined, I was just too upset. I know how many women locally are fastidious about their appearance and wouldn't be happy to leave the salon with a hair out of place. I arrived at the salon with a mop of unruly hair, that had untidy curls at the ends. I wonder if she thought I didn't really care how I looked. But, I lost my hair from chemo last year and the stylist was aware of this and she knew I had been waiting for my hair to grow for a year, she still cut it all off. She seemed confident and she didn't ask me how long I wanted it at the back and I was expecting something similar to Chris Jenner's at the back too. I know she had enough length to work with to get a more flattering, feminine look at the back as the straight top hair she did leave was over 3 inches long. She had clipped it at the back and it wasn't even finished off evenly. Even the strips of hair at the side of my ears aren't even and different lengths and thicknesses. I appreciate she may not have been one of the most experienced stylists at Headlines, but I did expect better than this.
