Mount Avenue Surgery

Whilst in a queue to be answered which was only for about 5 mins, receptionist was very polite and listened, arranged a same day appointment very professional and to be honest I wasnt expecting that level of service with the general negative comments we hear around appointments. Absolutely disgraceful. Never witnessed such a poor GP practice. The worst ever. If youre thinking about signing up here, I would strongly avoid. Mr Ward in particular has 0 life skills in relation to communicating with other humans. Very robotic, arrogant and not knowledgeable. Quite often not making any sense at all, Mr Ward is a huge embarrassment to Doctors in general as he gives the profession a really bad name. This man is very insensitive and takes advantage of peoples vulnerability. He is a bully and this has happened numerous times. If it was possible to give 0 stars I would as it doesnt even deserve 1 star. I will be filing a complaint with GMC and Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman as it is totally unacceptable and definitely unprofessional. Nobody should be treated in the manner he treats people. Im not surprised that this practice is going downhill as I believe Mr Ward is now managing the practice, which makes sense. The receptionist are tremendously rude both over the phone and in person. Totally unhelpful and always breaking GDPR rules. I wont be surprised if theres a reply to this saying Im not a patient of this practice, well I am not anymore and trying to help others avoid similar experiences. Overall this place is full of very rude staff, racism and much more. Avoid at all costs.

My mum was a patient at this surgery the staff were very polite and helpful but Dr Ward was rude and insensitive at a very difficult time and my mum was let down by the level of care she received i wouldnt recommend this surgery

I hear stories of other GP practices and it's scary. Sounds like they could learn something from Mount Avenue - never had an issue with appointments and the staff and Doctors are so caring. Thank you.
