Barclays Bank

Such a shame this branch of Barclays is closing in April. Nicola and Mandy are both so helpful and know many of their customers. It is so nice to be greeted by name and to be treated like an actual person. In this world of online banking it is a pleasure to be able to speak to someone face-to-face who is prepared to help you with a problem. Thank you both for all the help and advice you have given in the past.

If it was possible to give zero stars, I would. Like every other bank unfortunately, Barclay's Shenfield branch don't care about their customers, only their profits. They refuse to open more than one counter of the three available, despite a member of staff wondering around and seeing the nine people queuing, due the the guy at the front paying in his lifetime collection of coins. If there was any point in changing banks I would but they are all the same and Barclay's is now the last bank in Shenfield, where there were once four. Banks like this just don't want customers; we're an inconvenience!
