Excellent, professional service. Our floor looks great and we are very pleased with the results of the sanding and staining. I would certainly recommend Tomas Floors.

Tomas Floor Ltd recently re sanded our kitchen floor to a quality standard and at a competitive price. Our solid wood floor is 15 years old with one previous sanding which now looking back was a sub-contracted hire shop sander used by a general decorator. Tomas Floor have just completed a precision sanding and 3 coat sealant in 2 days, with minimum dust and disturbance, punctual timing and clear attention to detail. We had been discussing with friends whether to renew our wood floor but after Tomas Floor treatment we are tempted to say we did and what they see now is a new wood floor! We would have no hesitation in recommending Tomas Floor for any similar wood floor treatments. Ian Gilbert satisfied customer Chiswick, London W4 May 2014

Please heed my advice and do not use this company! They are not part of the Guild of Master Craftsmen as it is claimed on their website. I contacted Tomas floor to sand and refinish our parquet flooring. Tomas sent his colleague Nick to give us a quote. We agreed that the front room would be done first and then they would come back a week later to do the rest of the ground floor. We paid a deposit to Tomas flooring for the work. When the front room was done, which looks great, Nick told us to contact him when we were ready for the rest of the floors to be done. This is where it all goes bad, Nick told us it would take 3-4 days, it ended up taking them over a week and they look unfinished, they would turn up in the morning then say they needed to go out to get something, leave our house unlocked, once the front door was left wide open, and then just not come back until the next day, we have since found out from Laurie M's review on Yelp that they were doing her house while they were at ours. We tried contacting Tomas but he wasn't answering his phone, from Laurie M's comment we now know he was away. The guy who had done such great work in the front room didn't come back and Nick starting doing the work himself, very badly. On the Sunday Nick told us he was finished and demanded payment in cash, so he could avoid paying VAT, before he would leave. When was shown the quote from Tomas Flooring and confirmation of our deposit, Nick claimed not to know who they were, that he had never heard of them, and became very aggressive. The floor looks dreadful and unfinished, there are gaps between the boards, drips from the lacquer, the timber is rough, the lacquer is unevenly spread, our skirting boards were damaged and there was splashes of lacquer up to a metre up the walls. We continued to try to contact Tomas over the next 10 days finally getting hold of him on 25 August. During our phone call Tomas claimed that Nick is a subcontractor, even though I have an email from him saying Nick is his colleague, and that as we contacted Nick directly to start the second part of the job that he is not responsible for the work done by Nick, even though at no point before it was claimed the work was finished did either Nick or Tomas tell us they were not the same company. Tomas then hung up on both myself and my husband. We contacted the Guild of Master Craftsmen to find out about how to settle this dispute only to find out that Tomas Flooring has not been a member for ages. We contacted Simply Business Insurance and our only recourse through them is to get a solicitor to write to them so a claim can be made as it has to be the company that makes the claim not the people whose home they wreck.
