        Grade I Listed, attributed to Wren, also incorporating fabric from earlier incarnations, much restored and extensively damaged during WWII. Prominent square tower features an unusual tapering spire with windows, a balcony and topped with a weathervane; in all, reminiscent of a lighthouse. The entire edifice in fact, to some extent, seems adrift, a stranded lighthouse overlooking a turbulent domain.
